Durrington Delight as Wiltshire Playspace Opens
"The first phase of our playground upgrade has been completed and there has been lovely feedback from users, parents and grandparents, we can't wait to start the next phase in 2018. The equipment is of a good standard and has been installed well and in a swift manner, the team left the site as they found it. The entire process from initial tender to meeting with Stuart to discuss a design then onto awarding the contract and all the communication throughout has been very good, as has post installation customer support. The only issue we had was the perceived installation team's health and safety awareness, our concerns were however quickly addressed. The Town Council looks forward to hopefully working with eibe in the future." Sarah Tucker, Clerk to the Council
Just a stone’s throw from the World Heritage Site of Stonehenge lies the town of Durrington.
Covering an area of over 2,700 acres, the parish is known for its Neolithic features, most notably Durrington Walls and Woodhenge, both of which date back to 2,400BC. The population is just over 7,000, comprising approximately 2,500 households, all of which will benefit from the brand new, recently installed playspace from eibe.
The £30,000 Recreational Road Play Area is part of a bigger three-stage scheme, the rest of which will be completed in early 2018. This first installment features our fabulous new Playo Sam unit, alongside a mound slide and rope pull. All surfacing was bonded mulch. The project started early in July and was completed and fully open within two weeks.
The eibe team will be working with Clerk to Durrington Town Council, Sarah Tucker, on future developments, which will include the likes of our Active Trail, an Inclusive Roundabout, Storks Nest, as well as Toddler Swings and a Toddler Unit.
