Aha! - The Sun Always Shines on eibe

Sunfield is a UK charity specialising in the care of children with severe and complex learning needs and is recognised internationally for its work with children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

Sunfield is committed to the development of each individual child's abilities so that he or she may come to experience life as worthwhile; so it was with great pleasure that eibe got involved in a recent project at Firs House at the Sunfield school in Halesowen, involving the installation of a brand new swing set.

eibe was first approached in July 2011 to supply and install the swing, after The Firs House staff had worked tirelessly to raise just over £2,000 to purchase the item.

In early November the swing was ready for use, much to the enjoyment of all the students. eibe’s Luke Clarke was thrilled to be part of the project, commenting how rewarding it was to see hard work come to fruition and watch such a positive response to a relatively simple playspace addition.

Angela Pritchard, who organised the fund-raising and who specified eibe, said:

“Full credit to your guys; they worked nonstop and in appalling weather conditions. The swing looks really great and the boys cannot wait to get on the seats. Thank you once again to yourself and all your team who helped make this possible for our boys.”
