Bocketts Sprouts

From picking Brussels sprouts on the Isle of Thanet, to establishing one of the South East’s most popular family attractions, it’s fair to say that Jane and James Gowing have come along way on their agricultural adventure.

Bocketts Farm Park is a joyous working farm in Surrey run by the Gowing family since its original opening in 1992. Jane and James had moved from the far reaches of the Orkney Islands where they had bought their first sheep farm to launch their farming venture and it now welcomes visitors all year round from all over the country to its multigenerational attractions.

The Gowing’s twin daughters now manage day to day affairs and it was with director, Becky Hildrey, that the eibe team caught up with regarding their 2019 plans. Wishing to add a summery feel to the play offering at ‘Bocketts’, a fabulous beach play area was built to include some multi-play sand units, as well as some of our ever-popular Spring Rockers. At a cost of £15,000, the farm will be as busy as ever this summertime.

The new sand area sits alongside the many other existing play areas such as the Big Kids Play Barn, The Super 6 Lilipads, The Jumping Pillow and the Hare-Pin Racers. All in all, it is a day out that the whole family can enjoy with a host of entertainment on top of the array of animal fun!
