New Swings for The Langhams

eibe Play started a successful working relationship with Waverley Borough Council in 2011, where we were awarded the contract to refurbish several of their community play spaces.

Waverley Borough Councils’ green ethos, when it comes to their play spaces, matches eibe Plays, which works perfectly when choosing the right play equipment for their play area locations.

In the summer of 2022, eibe Play met the council at Langhams Play Area to discuss the replacement of two swing frames, which had come to the end of their working life. We also discussed the condition of the existing grass matting surface around the rest of the play space. We agreed that several areas of the grass matting around the existing equipment needed to be replaced.

With this in mind, eibe Play put together a proposal that included the removal of the existing swing frames and safer surfacing, installing two new swing frames and brand new grass matting with the safer surfacing.

The swing frames chosen were made from durable pine, with galvanised steel feet, both designed with longevity and durability. Toddler and Junior Swing seats were chosen for each swing frame.

We then set about, alongside the council, to decide which of the existing grass matting needed the most attention. Once we chose the grass matting safer surface that needed to be replaced, it was removed and freshly laid in its place.

The installation lasted one working week and was opened in time for the weekend for the local children to enjoy.

eibe Play looks forward to a long and successful working relationship with Waverley Borough Council for years to come.
