Thakeham Pre-School was founded in 1990 and is a committee-run group. The Pre-School has a ‘home-from-home atmosphere for children aged 2-5 years. They provide a safe, caring & friendly environment dedicated to the support of each individual child.
The Pre- School approached eibe play to look at a potential partnership to improve their play provision and to create a pirate-themed zone, allowing the pre-schools children’s imagination to run wild.
After a detailed on-site consultation with Stuart Evans, their local eibe Play Consultant, the decision was to include the eibe Play Rowing Boat within the play space, with various pirate-themed play panels surrounding it. The eibe Rowing Boat allows the Pre-School imagination to run wild as they steer the boat through the rivers of West Sussex. It also promotes eye-hand coordination development and social and teamwork skills. The pirate-themed play panels surrounding the boat promote challenge and discovery, as well as social interaction and role play.
The new pirate-themed play equipment has been such a hit with the Pre-School that the children have now made a pirate-themed section within their indoor settings with drawings and crafts.
eibe Play looks forward to supporting the Pre School for years to come and has been overjoyed with the positive feedback it has received.
