The latest installation was for Slough Centre Nursery located in the heart of Slough. Diane Lister the Supervisor at the nursery asked eibe to help her re-design the tired play area, and totally removing the old climbing frame, and use a theme to give the feel of a Tree house atmosphere eibe installed the unique climbing frame to coincide with the existing old unit and offer new swings, a slide and climbing elements for a budget of around 50k.
The Existing equipment was installed into a raised area which needed repairs and made the area smaller. eibe designed the new unit from our Amazon range to be installed flush onto the ground with bright rubber wetpour to be as challenging as possible for the children. The lower section features an eibe rowing boat and sand raft on springs, so that little sailors can take to the sea and fight out naval battles!
There is a very popular Birds nest Swing for having a leisurely swing with friends, if the climbing gets too much eibe in previous years had installed a large sand building area, with sand bucket pullies and a sand conveyer belt, which was re-adjusted into the new scheme.
The area now features the Ten principles for designing successful play spaces outlined by play England for providing challenging and inspiring play spaces, from the publication Design for play : 'A guide to creating successful play spaces' .
This is a real flagship play space meeting the busy demands of Slough Centre Nursery whilst providing a fun and innovative play area that is easy to maintain and monitor.
