Helping you to create a successful play strategy
This package has been developed to assist councils who
wish to build their play strategies and fulfil the public
consultation requirements set out by Play England -
‘Planning for play’ literature guidance under section 28.
Play England guidelines specify that ‘community consultation’
must be completed to assess community needs.
This section of research must be completed and included
as part of your play strategy
This information can then be used to shape the design or
refurbishment of play areas, whilst ensuring that
communities play an active part in the future of their park
and become good custodians – with a high emphasis on
community ownership.
eibe play offers complete consultation packages, and this
document illustrates the methods used and costing guidance.
