eibe Play’s latest installation will offer Caterham kids a playspace for many years in the future.
The Caterham Barracks play area, courtesy of Tandridge District Council, is the second project we have undertaken for them after the successful Hunter’s Chase Scheme in 2016. The £35,000 playground replaces the old are which had become run down and unloved. We hope the fabulous new equipment will breathe new life into the community and the local neighbourhood.
The play area has some stand-out features; a junior climbing unit from our cost-effective ecorino range sits next to a cute Minimondo toddler unit, as well as toddler and nest swings.
Caterham Barracks was originally a depot used by Guards up until 1990. Following an Urban Design Award, developers Linden Homes regenerated the land with sympathetic architecture, so it has been a pleasure enhancing the Conversation Area with a suitably sustainable play area. Working on the project with Independent Greenspaces Adviser, Emanuel Flecken, eibe thinks the residents of Caterham Barracks will enjoy their 2018 summer, that’s for sure.
