The Challenge
The community estate in Fair Oak had previously housed a play area, but years of deterioration meant the equipment had to be removed entirely, leaving local children without a dedicated space to play. Fair Oak and Horton Heath Parish Council recognised the need to invest in a new, high-quality play facility that would serve the community for years to come.
The Solution
In early 2026, the Parish Council invited eibe Play to provide a quotation for a new junior multi-play unit and Nest Swing. Following a period of close consultation, eibe Play were awarded the contract and works began just in time for the summer period — ensuring children could enjoy the new space during the school holidays.
The centrepiece of the new play space is the Nexus Unit, a Junior Multi-play Unit from eibe Play's popular Climbo range. Designed for children aged 5–12 years, the Nexus Unit features a variety of climbing and balancing challenges, providing an exciting and engaging play experience that encourages physical activity and adventurous play.
Complementing the Nexus Unit is a Nest Swing — a versatile and inclusive piece of equipment that welcomes children of all ages and abilities, offering the opportunity to swing independently or alongside family and friends.
The Outcome
The completed play space has given the Fair Oak and Horton Heath community a modern, safe, and stimulating environment for children to thrive. eibe Play are proud of the finished result and look forward to a continued partnership with the Parish Council to ensure the play space remains a valued asset for the community for many years to come.
