Over 380,000 people have graced the Titanic themed playspace at Houndwell Park in Southampton, since it ‘launched’ last summer. And 4,000 children alone came to mark the first anniversary in July and have a fun-filled day playing on a host of great play equipment. A castle and a ship dominate the landscape and form a perfect setting for the more traditional swings and slides which bless the very popular attraction.
Tony Hill of Southampton City council believes it is now one of the South Coast resort’s best tourist destinations:
“The variety of play equipment enables children and young people of all ages to find somewhere to relax and spend time with friends. Houndwell Park is now one of the best playspaces in Southampton, adding to our city’s attractions.”
