The ever-popular destination is a fantastic day out for the whole family, with acres of ancient woodland and landscaped parkland, as well as a host of animals and a huge lake. Now, thanks to eibe Play, the entertainment value has increased further with the introduction of a wonderful new indoor play area.
The £70,000 scheme, housed in a converted lambing barn, is designed to make Staunton an all-year round attraction, offering children a fabulous facility whatever the weather. Stuart Evans, eibe’s Southern Play Consultant, was first approached in December 2010 and a vigorous tender process began in early 2011. After lengthy discussions, the project was ultimately given to eibe later that year. Works were then completed in March 2012.
The exciting new adventure barn includes an array of toys, games and equipment aimed at the younger generation, such as a small soft play area featuring a slide, trampoline, play boards and tunnels. There is also a large, bespoke item themed around a long-horned cow with twisting slides, a climbing wall, exciting nets, ladder and rope bridge.
