The £50,000 project is full of colour and imagination, featuring a sea themed wetpour area with bespoke graphics. Atop the surfacing is an array of great play equipment, such as the ibondo Bern unit, a spring raft, a wobble bridge and dinghy, as well as free standing play panels, picnic tables, wicker shells, a story time circle and a pavilion.
Working in conjunction with a separate contractor who was employed to do the tarmacking to the new school play area, we put the new kit in, then after they tarmacked, we returned to do the wetpour and thermographics. The whole operation went without hiccups.
School business manager, Liz Craig, is delighted with the end result,
“eibe offers fantastic play equipment, with a seamless installation process, no hassle and perfect co-ordination with the other contractors. I can’t wait to get the play area open and the kids are already very excited to start playing on the equipment.”
The school hopes to hold an official opening day in October, once the grass around the edges is a little more established.
