After the local parish council eventually secured the necessary funding, eibe Play was delighted to win the Loxwood Play Area project just a small drive from its head offices in Surrey.
The £60,000 scheme went to tender in the spring of 2014 and after eibe’s successful pitch, was completed in mid-August, following three weeks of grass growing to enable the turf to be robust enough for the initial footfall.
The result is an almost entire refurbishment – only our original roundabout remained in place – and the new equipment sits atop all new turfing within a fenced safety zone.
Stand out products include a robinia Climbing unit, Stand-Up Seesaw, Nest Swing, Cradle Swings, Trim trail, Satellite Carousel and a thrilling Cableway.
“It’s nice to return to an existing site and be responsible for breathing new life in to a play park,” says Paul Redden, managing director of eibe Play, “The new equipment is sure to entertain kids from surrounding areas for many years, as it is so varied and offers different types of play. It will attract everyone from young toddlers through to teenagers.”
