Mapledown's Making a Difference

Mapledown School is a Secondary School for pupils with severe and complex learning disabilities in North London. The attending children have a diverse range of levels and needs; the school thus aims to work together with relevant stakeholders to ensure that those vital criteria are addressed at all times, as well as promoting different aspects of learning.

This special school already has a lot of eibe equipment and they are just about to place an order for a new play area to enhance the existing set-up, which includes basket swings, a zip wire, seesaws and trampolines with secure cages.

eibe Play Consultant Jennifer Heelan finds the relationship rewarding and interesting: “It’s lovely to be involved with projects that genuinely make a difference; what’s particularly lovely about this specific school is that they invite children from other SEN schools in the area to come and play on their equipment, meaning the value and the reach is even greater.”

Mapledown’s Deputy Head said: "We have tried other companies but have found eibe to be of a high quality.”
