One Man Went to Mote

eibe Play Consultant, Stuart Evans, meandered down to deepest Kent recently to check on the progress of eibe’s biggest project of the year so far.

Mote Park in Maidstone is a huge green space in the South East and is perennially popular with the local neighbourhood, but tourists and visitors from afar. In 2015, it finished third in the People’s Choice for their Favourite Green Flag Park. Covering nearly 500 acres, Mote Park features myriad different landscapes, including grassland, woodland, rivers, as well as an enormous lake. Surrounded by mature trees displaying seasonal colours all year round, it is also home to a host of wildlife.

And now things are getting even better…

As part of an overall £4.3 million, three-year regeneration project, Maidstone Borough Council, in conjunction with Kier Construction, is making exciting changes to the much loved destination park. A new skate park will sit alongside a magnificent new eibe playspace.

The £300,000 scheme is currently nearing completion and will be officially opened in April 2019. Meanwhile our intrepid explorer took some up-to-date installation photos, showcasing some of the fabulous bespoke units going in.

From our unique range, comes the Venetos play unit and a bespoke Sharda unit, both crammed full of play value. These are complemented by a huge Climbing Rock, as well as the more traditional swings and seesaws around a sandpit with dinosaur fossils – it’s a multi-faceted playground that offers fun and entertainment for everyone.

We look forward to bringing you the launch photos later this Spring.
